diagonal pan



well heres my diagonal pan with some colour on it...
its not completely finished but im gonna leave it as it is for the moment...
with photoshop painting, u can always touch up later...maybe that one day
will come when i wanna completely finish up this one. any feedback?

haha.. well if u want critique.. one thing that bothers me is that there isn't any texture for the grassy hills..

I agree with Jeff... Lack of texture really kills it... But i love the lighting in the beginning.

Well, you can either just use textured brushes and try to imply detail and texture on the painting... or put a layer ontop of your painting, bring in a textured image from the net or something.. and adjust the blending modes for that layer to soft light, overlay, hard light.. or anything u find suitable. just tweak the opacity afterwards and erase parts of the texture image that u don't want to show..Personally i like to paint it manually with textured brushes..

i guess what you need is to give the different material a different texture. in other words, your rock needs to be like rock and your grass needs to be like grass......
